I wrote this six plus yrs ago. I was looking for a DP on a music video I was producing and I wandered in a house owned by a movie studio exec. New, interesting people and new, interesting creative energy. I didn’t plan the moment, but it became a paradigm shift in my journey.

As I think back six years ago: the people I’ve met that have helped and hurt. the bloodletting, the little joys, a long arduous and at times, self-mutilating creative cocoon. The path of discovering my voice, managing it for human consumption and finally accepting it and constricting the inner circle. The “art in what you do” is paramount.

From time to time, I read this piece, and every single time, it resonates stronger and stronger. And resonating so much so at this very moment. For all you artists out there who have shared with me your personal journey, I’d like to share a piece of mine. I hope it resonates with you and that we feed off each other’s energy.
